"New Beginnings" is a quaint, little home that will sleep up to six guests, and is pet-friendly. The bathroom has been recently remodeled, and there is new carpet throughout the home. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and enjoying your meals. In the living room there is a woodstove (firewood provided in season), satellite TV, DVD & VCR players, and DSL/WIFI. The deck with its picnic table and gas BBQ is perfect for outdoor grilling and dining. Just off the deck, there is a small wooden bridge over a seasonal stream, which leads to a beautiful open meadow and forested area. There is also a natural, small clearing surrounded by trees and rocks, which is the perfect spot for hosting a small outdoor wedding or reception.
Our home is located in the little community of Wawona, 6 miles INSIDE the south entrance of Yosemite National Park. It makes a wonderful home base while you explore and play in Yosemite.

During the summer, you have the opportunity to relax in the Merced River & cascading waterfalls, enjoy a hike to nearby Chilnualna Falls, the Swinging Bridge, and the Meadow Loop Trail. Enjoy fine dining & play golf at the historic Wawona Hotel, go horseback riding, enjoy Ranger walks and talks, or visit the Living History Center.
In the fall, the colors are spectacular as you enjoy the walking path around the golf course of the nearby historic Wawona Hotel. See the nearby famous Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.
In the winter, the family-friendly Badger Pass Ski Area offers snowshoeing, snowboarding, skiing, cross-country ski tours, and in Yosemite Valley enjoy the outdoor ice skating rink.
In the spring, the rivers and waterfalls throughout the Park, including nearby Chilnualna Falls, are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Come enjoy and relax in the welcoming atmosphere of our unique community.
