Regency at Poipu Kai is centrally located on Kauai's beautiful South Shore in the heart of Poipu. This vacation haven is equidistant between the Grand Hyatt Kauai and Shipwreck Beach and the world famous Poipu Beach and Brennecke's Beach. Less than ten minutes walking time will take you to either. The Regency at Poipu Kai is graced by a beautiful walkway called the greenbelt which provides you with walking paths throughout the Poipu Kai area, a 70-acre resort consisting of several unique condo developments, a residential area with homes, a large tennis facility (Poipu Kai Racquet Club), and garden paths connecting the areas of the resort. The Regency at Poipu Kai has access to two swimming pools, one fronting Building 6 and one five minutes away--both have hot tubs.

Imagine yourself walking to beautiful Poipu Beach, perfect for swimming, snorkeling or laying out in the sunshine. Poipu Beach also has a large grassy park with a children's play area, showers, bathrooms, restaurants and shopping. Next door, you will find Brennecke's Beach--Kauai's premier body surfing and body boarding beach.

In the other direction, you will discover the beauty of Shipwreck Beach to watch the sunrise or climb the Mahaulepu Coastal Trail beginning just beyond the beach. This trail is a special part of the Kauai History Heritage site and the last stretch of accessible coastline on the South Shore that has not been developed. The trail leads to beautiful Mahaulepu Beach, a great place to spot whales in the winter or observe (from a distance) a monk seal napping on the beach.

We offer a vacation membership available for the Exclusive (Members Only) Poipu Beach Athletic Club (pool, tennis, workout) for a fee. When you stay with us you have the unique opportunity of joining the Poipu Beach Athletic Club (PBAC). Your membership provides you with access to one of the island's only fitness centers with a cardio room and weight pavilion, use of the resort pool, waterslide, hot tub and sand-bottomed kiddie section, tennis, pickle ball and basketball courts with free racquets and balls, shuffleboard, water aerobic classes, yoga classes and more. All racquets, balls and yoga mats are provided as part of the membership.

Have a late departure flight? No problem. The club membership includes secure baggage storage. Cost is only $100 a week per property (up to 8 guests).

PBAC is gearing up towards providing the ultimate family fun and fitness environment for its lucky members. Plans have been submitted for new bathrooms and garden showers with lockers.

A Farm to Table Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with pool service for the members. The outdoor yoga pavilion “Zen Den” holds daily classes adjacent to a community lawn that will provide hours of family entertainment with lawn games such as boccie ball, croquet, bean bag throw, etc. The lawn will be an outdoor venue for Movie in the Park nights, concerts, parties and celebrations.
