Located on the Amalfi coast, approximately two miles outside the town center, Villa Tramonto overlooks the coast as far as the promontory at Capo d’Orso and the bay of Salerno. The property enjoys unparalleled and unobstructed panoramic views out over the Mediterranean Sea, and of picturesque Amalfi. The villa sits on a quiet hilltop up 113 steps from the main coastal road. Guests enjoy several parking spaces in a private parking lot at the base of the property, a luggage elevator which will bring luggage and groceries, etc. from the parking lot directly up to the property, and a great restaurant situated at the bottom of the steps leading up to the property. The villa is situated on three levels, with two bedrooms situated on the bottom floor, three on the middle floor, and one on the top floor. Each floor enjoys its own terrace area with a great panorama, divided by a flight of steps. The main entrance into the villa is on the middle floor, where the core of the property resides. Entrance into the middle floor is through the large garden terrace, which boasts spectacular sea views, a large external, ceramic dining table for twelve guests, a large barbeque, a three cushion couch and sofa chairs, several chaise lounge chairs placed throughout, and an external stereo system. The terrace also boasts an external shower. Guests will enjoy ADSL and wireless internet connection, however, no computer is provided. The cost of the internet connection is based on consumption. There is also a DVD player for guests’ enjoyment. The first upper level or main level hosts the communal living area, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Each of the bedrooms is furnished quite similarly – double bed – all of which can be converted into twin beds -a dresser and/or closet, bedside table lamps, satellite television, air conditioning/central air, and are all relatively the same size. The villa enjoys hand-made ceramic tile floors, vaulted ceilings and a blend of antique and contemporary furnishings. The kitchen flows into the living room, which boasts great panoramic views of Amalfi and the Gulf of Salerno. The air-conditioned living room enjoys a large color television and a DVD player, a sofa, larg sofa chairs, and a large coffee table. The living room enjoys an entrance directly out onto a terrace with great views, a round ceramic table and 3 cast iron chairs. The terrace is shared by the third double bedroom, which connects to the living room and kitchen corridor by its own entrance. This double bedroom uses a full, external bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub and is located just outside the bedroom, in the corridor leading to the kitchen. Two further double bedrooms share a bathroom. The top floor enjoys a large panoramic terrace with small table and four cast iron chairs. A few steps lead down to a private accomodation with a wood corner kitchen, small dining area, sitting area and Master bedroom. The private swimming pool perches over, and appears to flow into, the sweeping ocean views. Villa Tramonto, whose original structure dates to the 12th century is a typical Amalfitan residence, fully updated with modern conveniences. Panoramic views, easy access to Amalfi town, a private swimming pool, and multiple terraces makes Villa Tramonto a charming retreat for extended families or groups of friends.
