Surrounded by pristine tropical forest and fronting the beach at Dorado, Su Casa is a secluded hideaway on the north shore of Puerto Rico at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The Spanish-style hacienda has been carefully restored to retain its 1920’s charm while offering contemporary conveniences. Built by Clara Livingston, the first woman to fly the Caribbean, and later owned by Laurance S. Rockefeller, the villa continues to host guests in luxury and style while also providing access to the amenities and services of Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Three 18 hole golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the Spa Botánico, the Rockefeller Nature Trail, Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment program, gourmet cuisine, and, of course, Dorado Beach, are just steps from Su Casa’s front door. The private infinity edged pool and inset jacuzzi overlook the Atlantic Ocean. The spacious grounds host numerous opportunities for private lounging or for gatherings. A spacious veranda on the upper level runs the length of the house and overlooks the pool and ocean. Indoors, hand-crafted interiors, furnishings, fabrics, and tile celebrate local heritage and culture and blend seamlessly with the lushness of the 1920s and modern conveniences. The main living area is on the second level, reached via a sweeping double staircase from the pool level. The fully equipped kitchen, dining area, massage room, and the two master bedrooms are also located on this level. The living room and both master bedrooms open to the verandah, as does the dining room. Outdoor covered dining seats eight guests. Two guest suites are located on the first level. Both are en-suite and both open to the poolside terrace. Su Casa provides an ideal venue for weddings or special events. A dedicated concierge ensures personalized service for all stripes of vacationers. The beautiful beach as well as the services and amenities of Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, are steps away from the front door of this elegant, private hacienda in Puerto Rico.
