The house has 3 floors, 2 baths, a fireplace, sundeck, a large boot room with space for gear, and lots of character. It’s a comfortable and convenient home base for any vacation, surrounded by fantastic skiing and scenery.

The first floor consists of a large boot room with laundry and plenty of space for skis and equipment, an open living and dining area with ceiling-high windows, and a large curtained bedroom area with full bath. A unique circular staircase takes you to the main floor, with an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining and living rooms, sundeck, fireplace, HDTV with cable, another wall of windows, full bath and master bedroom. The third floor has two additional curtained bedroom areas.

The house is on Schuss Pass, a private road which runs into and past the Mad River Glen ski area. We’re approximately a ¼ mile walk from the Basebox. For variety in skiing terrain, we’re 10-15 minutes from Sugarbush and Mt. Ellen. For those who don’t ski, it’s 10 minutes to the many shops, restaurants, movies and other attractions in Waitsfield, 30 minutes to Waterbury (home of Ben & Jerry’s and Green Mountain Coffee), and 45 minutes to the city of Burlington.

Sleeping arrangements are: Queen bed in the downstairs bedroom, two twins in the master bedroom that can be pushed together or apart, and two twins in each of the upstairs bedroom areas. There is also a daybed/child’s bed just off the master bedroom, which can sleep anyone less than 5’ tall, and a fold-out couch downstairs.

The house has most conveniences including washer/dryer, dishwasher, internet, and flatscreen HDTV with cable. Please note: We're in the process of having some work done on our water. During this time, drinking water is available from an instant hot/cold bubbler in the kitchen, and dispensers in each bathroom. All water is safe for washing and bathing, and is tested regularly.
