Our charming garden cottage is located in the heart of Berkeley's historic McGee-Spaulding district. It is the perfect place to unwind as it is safe, quiet, and tranquil, yet only a few minutes by foot to downtown Berkeley and the UC Berkeley campus.

Known since the '70's as the 'Dragon's Eye' and more recently as the 'Green Dragon' this property has turn of the century charm with lots of interesting architectural details and Berkeley character.

A winsome one-bedroom, Prospero’s Cottage is situated in our backyard garden, sleeps 2-4 people, has a full kitchen, living room, full bath, 2 small decks, and lots of warmth. It is ideal for 1-2 adults or a couple with 1-2 kids. The bedroom has a queen size bed. There is a foldout couch in the living room that can fit 1 adult or 2 kids. The cottage has radiant heat under the floor, cable TV, wifi, and laundry facilities.

Depending on the time of year, there may be plums, figs, strawberries, raspberries, or other delights growing in the garden and waiting to be eaten. Oh and hummingbirds!

Perfectly situated in central Berkeley, we are a 6-7 minute walk to BART, downtown Berkeley, Trader Joe's, movies, BAM/PFA, and many multiple star restaurants Comal, Gather, Ippiku, Corso, to name a few.
