This three bedroom, two bath home is sited on a hillside lot just a few minutes from the University of Oregon Campus with an incredible view over the Willamette River and Autzen Stadium and further north to Mary's Peak in the Coast Range.
Just a few steps to the east of the house is Pre's Rock, and a few minutes to the west and up the hill is Hendrick's Park. A Market of Choice grocery store, restaurants, the locally famous Hiron's Drug and Variety Store and the Matthew Knight Arena are all on the "house side" of campus.
When you enter the house you are in a large, light filled open living area with a wall of windows that capture the view described above. Here you will find a large - and extremely comfortable - sectional couch, a leather club chair for reading by the window and a 60" big screen television with a Blue Ray player and cable. Tucked away on the back wall is a "communication" desk with a Dell computer. Wi-fi can be easily accessed throughout the house.
On the opposite side of the living area is a large kitchen with spacious cabinets and Corian countertops. It has brand new stainless steel appliances including a five burner ceramic cooktop, full oven, microwave, dishwasher and a side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water in the door. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, cookware, utensils, small appliances, and for those "pick me up moments", a Keurig coffeemaker. There are two bar stools at the kitchen counter for informal eating along with a dining table that seats six.
The upper deck has a barbeque for outdoor cooking and is perfectly situated as a place to sit back, relax and enjoy the view, which includes deer down the hill in the back yard on a regular basis.
With the exception of the master bedroom, which has Brazilian Walnut flooring, the house has maple flooring throughout with rugs in every room to keep your feet comfortable.
In the master bedroom, which is a half-flight downstairs, there is a king sized bed with a seating area featuring a leather couch and flat screen television with a DVD player. Between the master bedroom and bath is a huge walk-in closet. The bathroom has a shower and dual sinks in a granite countertop.
Another half flight down the steps leads to the lower level, where you will find a second bedroom which has a queen sized bed and a large armoire for storage. There is a comfortable chair for relaxing and a small deck that enjoys the view up the valley.
Also on this level is the third bedroom which has a bunk bed with a full sized bed on the bottom and a twin on the top. It too has a deck with a view up the valley.
The large bathroom downstairs has a tub/shower combination, toilet and single sink. There is also a laundry room on this level with a new, high efficiency washer and drier. A door out from the laundry room leads to steps that will take you downstairs to a deck which is tucked under the overhang of the upper level deck. If you want a place to get away for some true peace and quiet, this is it.
The house features forced air heating with air conditioning to ensure your comfort during any season.
If you should stay here, you will find the mattresses and linen are top quality, the view spectacular, the neighborhood quiet, the kitchen won't hinder your cooking skills, and everything the campus and the city have to offer are just down the hill from you.
While we have no restrictions regarding children staying here, please note this house is sited on an extremely steep lot which does not afford any kind of outside play opportunity for little ones at the house. Also, even though the decks around the house meet all applicable building codes, they are not suited for inquisitive little climbers.

We liked this little place in the hills. It was a breeze to get around the campus area, but nice to get back to our cozy enclave with a good view. Bonnie, thank you for being accommodating and very responsive! Kids loved the couch, and the games that were available. Would recommend.
This is our 2nd year staying at this property! It's in a perfect location and has all the right amenities. The owner, Bonnie, is quick to respond to questions and very easy to work with! You won't be disappointed :) Thanks again for another great stay!
Beautifully furnished, comfortable relaxed vibe, super bedding, well equipped kitchen, great view of Autzen, close to a great market. Check in/out was super easy. Bonnie was available for any questions and very responsive and accommodating. This was one of our top VRBO experiences!
My family spent the week before Christmas at Bonnie's home in Eugene. It was quite the place, multilevel with a lovely view of Eugene. I was surprised to see a memorial to Steve Prefointaine just down the hill from her home. The kitchen was well appointed, which is a plus for my daughter who is a chef. Lighting was good too. Lots of games for all. We really enjoyed our visit.
This house was beautiful and in a remote quiet area just up a hill from the University. I enjoyed the balance of quiet with convenience. Lots of amenities and great linens. It was cozy and fun.
