My Austin Hideout is a lovely, private, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house, tucked away in one of the best parts of South Austin, very close to downtown Austin. The home is more than 2,000 square feet and will give you plenty of space for your family, your besties, or your business group in town looking to enjoy your time in Austin.
You can walk to all kind of things to do. Walk to the Broken Spoke, one of the best Honky Tonk dance halls in the United States. Go see a great band at the Saxon Pub that is very close by on Lamar Blvd. Grab some great burgers at the Black Sheep Lodge with their tremendous beer selection, or chow down some of the best Tex-Mex food anywhere at the famous Matt's El Rancho. There are many other fantastic restaurants in the immediate area you can walk to.
It is a very inexpensive Uber ride to all of the vibrant downtown entertainment districts, SXSW, South Congress, ACL, Auditorium Shores, the Lady Bird Lake Trail as well as the entire Barton Creek Greenbelt.
Want to do a great hike? Take a Lyft to one of many trailheads on the Barton Creek Greenbelt and then walk back to my hideout. It really is that convenient and you will hardly believe you are in the city when you are hitting the trail!
It's a fabulous neighborhood and you will enjoy your stay at my home.

Not too far from things and several places to eat near by. Good host was helpful. Comfy bedrooms and living area with kitchen that had the essentials. Would stay again.

The house is walkable to multiple restaurants and a really yummy coffee shop which we appreciated. It’s also close to the Barton Springs Park that is HUGE and has lots to explore. Short drive to downtown as well. However, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the house, especially the bathroom and kitchens. Sheets and towels were fine, but there definitely needs to be a deeper clean of the common areas between guests.
