Although some say the neighborhood is uncomfortable, we did not have any reservations about walking around the neighborhood!!! The home has everything you would need for your stay, and pleasantly decorated. We also enjoyed the local places to visit- Napa, Sonoma, ferry to San Francisco, Mare Island, etc… centrally located for sure.
The bungalow is a tastefully restored small home with obvious attention to details and appreciation of the unique architecture found in older homes. The queen sized bed was very comfortable, cozy sheets, plenty of pillows and the bathroom complete with towels and toiletries. We love to cook and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The only problems we ran into was the weather was unusually hot and the air-conditioning was not sufficient to cool the home off at night, and the oven had some malfunction, but the owners stated they were replacing the stove. We enjoyed being able to walk to the San Fransisco ferry, the farmers market, a few restaurants, and the walking path along the water front. This was a great place to stay while visiting our daughter at nearby Touros University
So, this is a hard one. The house is perfectly cute and we'll appointed. We picked the location to be able to do Napa and SF and other attractions. First, the neighborhood is less than desirable and safe feeling. It was mentioned you could walk to restaurants. Well, it would be much farther than I would want to walk and even if I did, I would not walk at night in that neighborhood. Not saying there are are gun shots but, it seemed very sketchy. Second, location was pretty good for Napa and saving a dime but, not close for SF eevially with the traffic getting anywhere near downtown or beaches or Muir Woods. So, all in all, take in to consideration what you are wanting to do.
My husband enjoyed our brief stay at this pristine Valejo bungalow. Our hosts provided everything for a stress-free visit.
