Welcome to the Johnson Guest House! This beautiful house was built in 1918 in Lincoln's historic East Campus Neighborhood, adjacent to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s East Campus. A total renovation of the home was completed in 2011, restoring the home’s charm and adding modern amenities & conveniences. Honored recipient of the 2013 Residential Rehabilitation Award from the Preservation of Lincoln Association. Neighborhood attractions such as the original Valentino’s Restaurant, International Quilt Study Center & Museum, UNL Dairy Store (hand-made ice cream & treats), Larsen Tractor Museum, and Maxwell Arboretum are within easy walking distance. Local restaurants, shopping, the Nebraska State Capital, Lincoln’s downtown and Haymarket District, city sports venues, and UNL’s City Campus are only a short drive away.

When you walk in the front door, the cozy Living room with its Fireplace and Hardwood Floors will greet you. The fully-furnished modern kitchen, dining room, full bath and the laundry area are all located on the First Floor. Wireless high-speed internet and HD satellite television are included in your stay.

The Second Floor will sleep 6 to 8 guests and features 3 Bedrooms, a full bath and the Study/Office. Two bedrooms have queen-size beds; one being an adjustable Sleep-Number bed. The third bedroom has two twin-sized beds. A queen sleeper-sofa is located in the Study/Office. Securely plug into the wired internet ports located in each room.

Move outside. Lounge on the front porch patio. Relax and entertain in the back yard. The back patio deck with its natural gas grill, ready for your cookout, is easily reached from the kitchen. Your guests have easy access to the first floor bath.

Need more activity? Catch the paved MoPac hiking/biking trail a few blocks away. Take the trail west for a short trip to the Skateboard Park in Peter Pan Park, connect to Lincoln’s extensive trail network or travel on to UNL’s City Campus. Take it east and you can follow it out of the city and for 26 miles into the countryside. Visit one of Lincoln’s many parks. In the summer swim at the nearby University Place Aquatics Center public pool. Madsen’s Bowling & Billiards provides year-round family fun and some of the best bar food in town.
