3/01/16 at Cornerstone. For your added pleasure with movies and sound in the main room we now have A Surround Sound Bar with the TV and an APPLE TV is hooked up also for you convenience. It works really well. We now have TIVO in the main room along with two additional receivers in the Master bedroom and the Kids room.
Now that I have finally had a moment to catch my breath, I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful trip we had to Tahoe last week. Your VRBO site certainly doesn't do the house justice and I will be sure to write some positive comments there. Everything was great and it was definitely one of the nicest houses we have stayed in (especially the kitchen).
NEW! TIVO DVR with unlimited Long Distance. NEW 55' LCD in Living room. With all that said, 'Welcome to our home in Tahoe Donner'. This beautiful home has a lot of special features, it was built by the developer to be his own. It is approximately 3500 square feet and has 5 bedrooms with 4.5 bathrooms, sleeps 16 with the sleeper sofa in the living room, and has approximately 1000 square feet of decks with a private hot tub. The Driveway is Level and the entrance into the house has no steps. Our home is within 20 minutes of all of the major ski resorts, including Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Sugar Bowl & Boreal Ridge. It backs up to an open space meadow with many trails including a trail that is a seven-minute walk to the Trout Creek Recreation Center with swimming pools, hot tubs, hot and dry saunas, a large gym, golf driving range, sledding park, playground, tennis, a New Clubhouse Restaurant, and much more.
It is just five minutes from Highway 80 and 30 minutes from the Reno Airport. Golf is a four-minute drive to either Tahoe Donner Golf Course, or Coyote Moon Golf Course. We have 5 Bdrms 4.5 Bathrooms equaling 4 Masters made up of 2 Kings and 2 Queens. One of the Queen rooms is a walk through to kids attached Bdrm(s)combined with an entertainment room and a Very Fun & Brand New Foosball Table. Ping Pong in the Garage. All bdrms have a flat screen TVs with internet capabilities and most have Blu-ray dvd players.
Handicapped? Because our house has no steps to get in and we have a sleeper sofa on the main floor with a 1/2 bath, there is a possibility for a stay with someone that can't do stairs. However, we are not promoting this house as equipped for a handicapped person. Our floor plan is also not very conducive for wheelchair use. Therefore any consideration of use by a handicapped person would need to be discussed before booking our home.
This is NOT a party house! The amount of people staying at the house should always be the maximum amount of people in the house. No smoking, No Pets, No exceptions. 3 Night Minimum.
Caution! In the Winter time if you cross over the trail behind the house there are icy ponds and streams under the snow. Please watch your children and stay on the trail!
Children are NOT allowed on the deck unattended, they must have an adult with them.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well stocked. Plenty of room for a large group to sleep, hang out, watch TV and play games. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the kitchen is larger than it seemed in the pictures.

We had a wonderful weekend with our grown kids and grandkids at this house. The interior layout worked well for several couples as all bedrooms, except the bunk room, have their own bath. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking. The owners were very receptive to any communication, and were very welcoming. Great property for several couples or a large family!

The cabin is set up perfectly for families. The bunk bed room was a huge hit with the kids and teenagers. The multiple levels of the house allows for privacy when needed for sleeping. The kitchen and living room area is spacious and opens to a deck. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to cook a meal. This is a quick review, but the bottom line is, this is a great property and we will definitely be back!

House is amazing and fit my entire family with room to spare. We had 4 couples, 6 kids and an infant. The bunk room for the kids was a hit. They loved being able to have a room just for them. Kitchen was outfitted with everything you needed for cooking. Hot tub was very fun and we all enjoyed it. Plenty of bathrooms and beds. We ran into some issues and did not get any service from the owner. Just a bunch of excuses. Refrigerator was not working when we got there and took over 12 hours to finally get cold. The lower oven did not work. The BBQ does not get hot enough to cook in when it's really cold outside (28 F). Hot tub cover is extremely hard to get back on and required two people. We worked around all these issues but was not expecting to spend time for these things. Be prepared to shovel snow if you want to get out early for skiing during a snow storm. Snow removal did not show up until 3PM and make sure to bring a snow shovel. Took 2 hours to shovel the driveway with 3 guys. Ran out of kitchen trash bags. One note about the sleeping arrangements. The kids bunk room access is through one of the queen size bedrooms. So if you need the 4th large bed for the adults in your party, you have to make sure they are OK with the kids running through their room. Even with all the issues we still had a great time. I just think they need to have a little more attention to detail with some sort of pre-checkin punch list that is done before you arrive to make sure everything is in working order. And if not, getting someone there to fix it immediately. Would have been nice to have a snow blower to move the snow or have the owner show up with some day laborers to shovel the driveway.
