Every season here has specialties to offer. In the summer and fall, hiking and bicycling on the nearby trails . Forget the crowds and mingle with the wildlife instead (last year, a mama moose and her baby walked right onto this large deck). In snow months, you can snowshoe or cross country ski on these same exquisite trails.
This house was lovingly built by it's owner who is a master carpenter.The artistry and details will enhance your stay. Kitchen is FULLY stocked for preparing gourmet meals for the family. Gas stove, dishwasher, custom cabinetry and a big island prep station.
A GORGEOUS SAUNA house is here for you to enjoy. Detox in the best way possible, we have essential oils you can spray on the coals and feel refreshed and cleansed inside out. Then continue on with a private soak in the most comfortable soaking tub ever designed: the claw foot tub with a six foot tall window to enjoy the view. OR, rinse off in an artistically tiled shower in the upstairs bath.
You will sleep like babies in this sweet mountain air, down comforters and silky soft sheets.
The layout is main floor: two bedrooms, full bath, living room, dining area and kitchen walking out to huge deck in aspen and pine trees; upstairs: two bedrooms and full bath .

10.5 miles (22 minutes by car to parking lot following speed limits without traffic) to Eldora Ski Resort with 680 acres of skiable terrain with over 300 inches of snow a year. Eldora is skiing, snowboarding, cross-country and snowshoe friendly!
Nederland, Colorado, twelve minutes away, is a picturesque mountain town nestled 17 miles west of Boulder, 20 miles north of Blackhawk and 41 miles south of Estes Park along the scenic Peak to Peak Highway. Nederland, a small friendly mountain community of around 1500 is a favorite getaway in summer to beat the heat at an altitude of 8230 feet. That also makes for GREAT SNOW in winter. Eldora Ski area, (10 miles away) boasts 300 inches of snow a year on it’s 680 acres of skiable terrain. Snowboarding, cross-country and snowshoe allowed there as well at considerably more reasonable prices than other Colorado ski areas. Great place for kids to take lessons!
As the “Gateway to the Indian Peaks,” our community has some of the best and most varied outdoor recreation in Colorado. Eldora Mountain Ski Resort is just minutes outside of Town, and we have both an Olympic-sized outdoor ice and tennis park for seasonal fun within walking distance of Town. When you’re at the ice rink, be sure to check out Nederland Youth Hockey or even take a turn at curling. Skateboarders can get some air at our skatepark, and kids of all ages will delight in our Carousel of Happiness.
The Peak to Peak Community boasts a vibrant arts and music scene, as well as a rich musical history based around the Caribou Ranch recording studio (over 150 artists recorded there including John Lennon). On almost any given night, local, regional, and nationally-known bands can be found playing at our bars and pubs or at one of our summertime festivals.
Nederland has festivals and activities ALL year, including some unique ones like: Frozen Dead Guy Days, a weekend-long party that takes over Town the first weekend in March each year with live music, food, a polar bear plunge, and lots of competitive challenges like “coffin races”. In 2010, the New York Times named FDGD in its Top 10 Best Parties of the Winter, alongside Mardi Gras in New Orleans and Carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
BEAT THE HEAT OF GLOBAL WARMING IN beautiful high altitude (8300’) Nederland. There are happenings almost every weekend during peak summer beginning with 4th of July. Experience a cool slice of old-fashioned Americana beginning with the parade down First Street, music in Chipeta Park and dazzling fireworks shot off over Barker Reservoir.
Later in July, vintage car buffs flock here for the Hotrods and Classics.
NedFest is one of Colorado’s biggest musical festivals the last weekend in August.
Endless hiking and mountain biking trails throughout the Mud Lake Recreation Area and the National Forests that surround Nederland. Reward yourself afterward with ice cream at Buffalo Bill’s Train Cars. in the summer they show family movies under the stars.
Runners won’t want to miss the Neder-Nederland Race held every September. With 5K and 10K options, this race is a truly special opportunity to experience a high-altitude run through our beautiful Town and valley, culminating in a post-race party with food, drinks, and entertainment. Registration for the race is required, and participation can count toward qualification for the Bolder Boulder.
Windfest is a chance for kids of all ages to indulge their love of kites. Held in September each year, this festival features the chance to fly your kites or even to make a new one at one of the kite-making stands.
Near Nederland one can jump on the scenic PEAK TO PEAK highway to Rocky Mountain National Park with less traffic than other routes to that spectacular area, or go the other direction and be at gaming tables in Black Hawk or Central City. Only twenty-five minute drive thru gorgeous Boulder Canyon along Boulder Creek lands you in Boulder.
