The Big Moon Lodge is a unique, private home located on 14 acres that is surrounded by National Forest. Our home is ideal for couples, friends or families (and your pets) to relax in the serenity and heart of the Rocky Mountains. No matter the time of year, you will enjoy the peacefulness, sheer beauty and wildness our forest has to offer. You can hike (all the way to the divide if you want!), bike, snowshoe, ski, ride your horses (we can accommodate your animals), or your ATVs and snowmobiles, right from the front door. The trails are endless. This is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise! The wildlife is abundant up here and you can expect to see anything from our neighborhood foxes to moose, elk, deer, coyotes, bears, wild cats and an array of birds. The hummingbirds are amazing all summer long! We also have many gardens and a greenhouse outside where we grow culinary and medicinal herbs and as much food as we can grow at our elevation.
