Enjoy the peacefulness of a quiet family neighborhood and private back yard, while having easy access to all that Louisville and the nearby attractions have to offer. Old Town Louisville is a short bike-ride away -- with restaurants, cafes, shops, and Saturday Farmer's Market. Our Rec Center is walking/biking distance: with full work-out amenities and indoor pool complete with mountain views from wall of windows, kiddie pool, and pool slide. There is an outdoor city pool as well set in a park near Old Town. A beautiful new school playground is across the street, with a wide array of both big kid and little kid equipment. The town of Louisville has 27 miles of bike trails, a lake and a pond, and large permanant "open spaces" where prarie dogs make their home. We provide two adult bikes and one child's bike, with helmets. Additonal bikes can be reneted locally.
Louisville has a fantastic location for a vacation base: Boulder is 15 minutes away by car, or hop on the bus that is walking distance to the house. Downtown Denver is 30 minutes by car, and Denver International Airport is 40 minutes. You can be up in the funky mountain town of Nederland in 45 minutes, or the front gate to Rocky Mountain National Park in one hour.
The house is bright and airy with vaulted ceilings throughout the main level and an open floor plan. The large gourmet kitchen was recently renovated with modern high-end finishes. The dining table comfortably seats 8 (with extra leaf in place), and the living room and family room provide spacious and comfortable gathering places. Upstairs is the master suite plus two additonal bedrooms and an additional full bathroom. The updated basement holds a comfortable and bright bedroom, as well as a bathroom and a rec room. The sleeping spaces are as follows: queen bed in master bedroom; single loft bed in child's bedroom; full bed in basement guest room. One upstairs bedroom is used as an office but can accommodate a queen size inflatable mattress we can provide. A twin mattress can be provided as an extra bed in the child's room as well. All beds have high quality mattresses.
The house is our family home, so some personal items will be present, but the home will be clean and clutter-free, with plenty of space for your belongings in the closets and dressers. (The office bedroom does not have closet space or a dresser, but the adjoining childs room will have plenty of space to share.) Some aspects of the house are "well-loved" and due for updating, which is reflected in the pricing for this rental.
The yard will be cared for during your stay by a neighbor watering the yard up to twice weekly if no rain. The lawn will be mowed weekly. Please let me know if there is any timing for this that would inconvenience you, and we will adjust whenever possible.
