This cabin is located in the best location, right in the heart of all that the smokes have to offer. Wonderful views and plenty of space for a family of six. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus with kids. The kitchen was fully equipped which gave us the opportunity to cook-in or eat out at our convenience. If you are looking for a quiet and cozy stay, this is a winner!
We stayed at the "Dancing Bears Cabin" with our family (total of 7 adults and one infant) during the week of Thanksgiving. We all enjoyed the beautiful view from the two decks on the back of cabin. When you walk out the front door there is another cabin across the drive, but behind it is a spectacular view of a large mountain. The first morning we woke to see snow on the top of it. It was breathtaking. Regarding the actual cabin, it was very comfortable, with ample space for all of us to enjoy being together in the living room/dining area. The kitchen is small, yet adequately equipped with pots, pans, plates, coffee mugs, glasses and utensils. The bedrooms are comfortable and have plenty of space in both the bedroom and the bath in each. I recommend bringing an air mattress if anyone will not be sharing a bed. There is a sofa bed, but it can only provide so much support. After all, it is a sofa bed. There are plenty of thick towels and washcloths. The washing machine and dryer are downstairs and seem to be fairly new. We did have a black bear pass through and saw several rabbits. You are definitely in nature. The owner, Carla, is very receptive and will address any questions you have very quickly.
We arrived after dark on a foggy evening, found our way to the residence through a security gate and gained access the residence. We were very happy with the accommodations. We settled in for the night and found games to play and televisions in each bedroom as well as the living room; each one of us could go our separate way to relax and rest up from the trip. Waking up the following morning was a pleasure, the fall mountain view was spectacular, we seen a whole mountain side of yellows, reds, oranges and browns. The home sets on a short road with four other homes. The place was clean and well kept , easily accessible and has the comforts of home. I would definitely stay here again.
