The home is also just 10 minutes away from golfing and sightseeing in Pebble Beach, or from enjoying the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, 15 minutes from charming Carmel-by-the-Sea, and 40 minutes from the natural wonders of Big Sur.
Interiors in soft whites, blues and browns echo the nearby ocean environment, with beautiful plantings welcoming visitors at the front door. Hardwood floors, décor that mingles vintage and modern, and comfortable furniture give this home a truly relaxing ambiance.
Upon your arrival you'll be greeted with wine and cheese, passes to the renowned Spa on the Plaza in downtown Monterey, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear.
Visitors will first walk into the great room, which features oatmeal-colored sofas and blue and cream upholstered chairs surrounding the gas fireplace, a perfect place to stretch out and watch the 50-inch HDTV, play games, or read books. An adjacent dining area seats eight at a whitewashed farmhouse table and counter seating for four in the kitchen.
The gourmet-equipped kitchen contains everything needed for great meals, and includes stainless steel appliances such as a Sub-Zero refrigerator and six-burner Thermador stove, granite countertops, and a custom travertine backsplash. Double doors lead from the kitchen to the fenced back yard, where a gas grill and an outdoor dining area make entertaining and afternoon barbecues a snap.
A downstairs half bath is next to a bedroom that offers a queen bed and views of the back yard. Upstairs, the spacious master bedroom features a vaulted ceiling, expansive ocean views through custom windows, and a double-sided gas fireplace that can be enjoyed either from the bedroom or next to the jetted tub in the en suite bathroom. In addition, the bathroom includes polished limestone tile, dual sinks, and a separate shower.
The master bedroom also contains a king bed, HDTV, a walk-in closet, a sitting area, and sliding doors to the upstairs deck, which has patio seating and is the perfect place to meditate in the morning or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.
Two more bedrooms on the second level share a bathroom with shower, polished limestone tile, and a stacked washer-dryer. The bedrooms both feature queen beds and sitting areas; one bedroom has ocean views, while the other has a private balcony with bistro seating that overlooks the back yard.
The studio cottage in the back yard offers two twin beds that convert to a king with memory foam mattress topper, a seating area, and bathroom with combination tub/shower.
Parking for one vehicle is available in the garage, which also offers ample storage space for beach gear.
