The home is also just 10 minutes away from golfing and sightseeing in Pebble Beach, or from enjoying the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, 15 minutes from charming Carmel-by-the-Sea, and 40 minutes from the natural wonders of Big Sur.

Spacious interiors in tones of taupe, gray and blue, with plenty of room for stretching out and relaxing, make this pet-friendly home a perfect place for friends to gather and enjoy socializing in the comfortable great room, while playing pool in the pool room, or on the backyard patio around the firepit.

Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine or sparkling cider, passes to the renowned Spa on the Plaza in downtown Monterey, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear.

A vaulted open-beam ceiling lends an expansive feel to the great room on the home’s first level, where comfortable leather couches surround a wood stove and provide a place for conversation, relaxing and watching a 60-inch HDTV. A whole house sound system supplies music throughout the home with volume control for individual rooms.

At one end of the great room is a dining area with seating for six around a farmhouse table. Seating for four is also available at the kitchen counter.

The gourmet chef-equipped kitchen features granite countertops, updated stainless steel appliances including a six-burner gas stove, and limestone tile floors and backsplash. Next to the kitchen is a pool room that plays up the beach sports theme, with several surfboards on display that belong to the homeowners, and artwork and photos featuring local beach scenes and Pacific Grove history.

Doors from both the great room and pool room lead to the fenced back yard, which features a sheltered deck with a gas grill and patio seating around a gas firepit, an ideal spot for enjoying an afternoon barbecue or a glass of wine in the evening. Fun for all ages is enhanced by party lighting, flower-filled containers, a ping pong table in the garage and a unique five-hole putting green under beautiful native oak trees.

One bedroom on the first level has a queen bed, with an adjacent bath that has a unique cutout limestone vanity, combination tub/shower and tile floor. A door leading to the back yard offers private access. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be converted to a king as needed, a 30-inch HDTV, and a nearby bathroom with a charming hand-painted mirror and shower with custom tile.

The large master bedroom on the second level includes a king bed and his-and-hers walk-in closets as well as an en suite bath, a long built-in desk, a reading area, and a 46-inch HDTV. The bathroom includes a jetted tub, a couples’ shower with double showerheads and a built-in bench. The bedroom also has a private deck with bistro seating that looks out over the back yard.

Parking for two vehicles is available in the garage, which also offers ample storage space for beach gear and other items.
