The 2,000-square-foot home is just steps away from Lovers Point Beach and Monterey Peninsula Recreation Trail, or from Perkins Park Beach for tidepooling and beachcombing. The famous Beach House Restaurant is a few blocks away, as are the monarch butterfly groves, Asilomar State Beach, and historic Point Pinos Lighthouse. It’s a short 10-minute drive to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, or to dining and shopping in Carmel-by-the-Sea or golfing and sightseeing in Pebble Beach.
With four bedrooms, two baths and also two half-baths, the pet-friendly residence offers plenty of flexibility for either families or couples. A reverse floor plan takes full advantage of ocean views that can be enjoyed from the second story. A new Meade telescope lets you experience the ocean up close, and can be used at night to view the moon and stars. The updated home has been beautifully decorated in a coastal theme with striking original artwork and décor in shades of driftwood, ocean blues, and white.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine or sparkling cider, passes to the renowned Spa on the Plaza in downtown Monterey, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear.
The entryway on the first floor leads to three bedrooms, one with a queen bed while the other has an expanded bunk bed, with a twin above and full bed and trundle bed below, and a 28-inch HDTV. A Jack-and-Jill bathroom includes dual sinks, a large mirror, tile floors and a combination tub/shower. The third bedroom has a Tommy Bahama-style four-poster Tempur-Pedic king bed and 42-inch HDTV as well as French doors that open onto the backyard patio.
The back yard includes a gourmet gas grill and patio seating for six plus additional chairs, a perfect place for afternoon barbecues or evening cocktails. A convenient covered stairway leads to an enclosed second-floor porch with views of the back yard and golf course.
The chef-equipped kitchen features Brazilian granite countertops, custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances that include a Thermador gas range and double ovens. A double sink offers plenty of area for food prep, and an adjacent dining area features a glass-topped table and leather chairs. Additional seating for three is available at the kitchen counter.
The kitchen, dining area and living room all flow together in an open floor plan, with a gas fireplace at one end of the room and ocean views along the length of the room. Comfortable sofas and chairs as well as a 55-inch HDTV are arrayed around the fireplace.
Also on the second floor is the master bedroom suite, with a Tempur-Pedic king bed, a seating area, 50-inch HDTV, and large bathroom with a unique glass block-enclosed shower, large mirror, an additional shaving/makeup mirror, dual sinks, radiant floor heat and a stacked washer-dryer.
The garage offers parking for two vehicles and ample space for beach gear. Two cars can also be parked in the driveway, with additional parking available on the street.
