Beacon Bluff is a 4BR/3.5BA beach cottage that sits on a bluff overlooking the Gulf of Mexico with a large protected front yard and is only steps away from the beach. This historic cottage was built in 1910 and totally remodeled with the original heart pine floors kept intact and tastefully decorated. Three master suites, vaulted cypress ceilings, a gourmet kitchen and spacious 57 x 12 screened porch all across the front. High speed cable internet access, TV, DVD, fireplace and a BBQ grill. Home is handicapped friendly with a ramp and accessible shower with rails. There is also a sink and a cook stove that is wheelchair accessible. Outside only property cameras installed at this location.

Everything is ground level - kitchen, dining area, living room with Gulf view and entrance to screened porch, den with flat screen TV, DVD, stereo, gas fireplace, sleeper sofa and games. Bedroom 1 - queen bed with full bath; bedroom 2 - King bed, TV and full bath; Bedroom 3 - King bed with Gulf view, TV and a full bath; Bedroom 4 - duo (bunk double on bottom with twin on top); 1/2 bath and washer/dryer closet.

Sun lovers flock to the 10 miles of white sand beach during the summer where the water temperature averages around 84 degrees. Swimming, sunbathing, fishing, and kite-flying are some of the activities that take place then. Summer is also the time when Loggerhead sea turtles come up onto the beach to nest.

St. Joseph Peninsula State Park has miles of white sand beaches, striking dune formations, a heavily-forested interior and a favorable climate for year-round outdoor recreation. The 2,516-acre park is bounded on three sides by the waters of St. Joe Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

Our home is approximately 70 yards from the water.

There is a public beach entrance located directly in front of our house, It is a well cleared sand path. There is also and entrance one block west of us, and it is wooden planked.

You must cross a two lane highway in order to enter the beach area.

We are nine (9) miles from the city of Port St. Joe, a half mile (.5) to the beginning of Mexico Beach and three (3) miles from the fishing pier in Mexico Beach.

Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach both have grocery stores, restaurants, marinas etc...
