!Our house is situated in such a way as to maximize the views. The length of the house faces the water and with the exception of one bedroom, EVERY room has a beach and water view. It is known in town as the beach house "with the decks" . One off the master has beautiful unobstructed views of the beach as does the master bedroom with its 2 storied glass wall. There is a large entertainment deck on the 3rd floor from which we have a terrific view of the 4th of July fireworks. Three years ago we updated with a gut renovation, modernizing our home and creating an open concept in the first floor living area complete with our 80" screen TV. There is a charming private courtyard entered through french doors off the kitchen, gated with a 6' wooden fence for privacy and which contains the kids' favorite - the outdoor shower. There is also a niche in the house for everyone, including a first and 3rd floor sunroom as well as an office. The 4th bedroom is set up as a TV/den room with a queen sized leather sleep sofa The house has the unique combination of striking views and warm, comfy sitting areas. People describe it to me as charming. The beach area also has a terrific playground on the sand as well as a large concession. The town marina is a short walk away. Westport also has a the Longshore Park, one mile from our home which offers adult and childrens' swimming pools as well as a public golf course. . We are also home to the Westport Country Playhouse - offering live performances of plays and musicals and the Levitt Pavilion - a place to picnic as we listen to outdoor free entertainment every night of the summer. Each night of the week has a theme: jazz, oldies, etc and Wednesdays are always geared for something special for the children. Westport is known throughout Fairfield County for the quality of its restaurants. Westport has express service (55 m inute ride) to Grand Central. The station is 3 miles from our house
