This Romantic Cottage is on a large granite outcropping in the center of the cove with clear Views of the Ossippee Mountains and close-by Islands, including the largest Island on the Lake. It is directly on Lake Winnipesaukee, which is 28 miles long and 8 miles wide and contains 365 islands.

The Cottage looks over to and past Diamond and Rattlesnake Islands. Very cozy Knotty Pine interior with 30 foot screened-in porch overlooking Lake. Facing the mountains is a 30 X 8 foot dock for boating/fishing/swimming and an upper deck for sunbathing, reading, photography. The crystal clear water is about 12 feet or so deep off the dock, plenty of draft room for boaters. The sunsets are stunning. Email owner for Virtual Tour.

The small neighborhood Beach is just down the road, about a 4 minute walk. The water has a beautiful sandy bottom, and there are a few flat-topped boulders further out in the water on which to sit while in the water. Ellacoya State Park and Beach is only a 5 minute drive; check out the sunsets, pine trees, fantastic beach, and picnic facilities there! And bring your camera for the incredible Sunsets, occasional Loons, and Beautiful Skies!!

The location of my Cottage is perfect. Nearby towns with plenty of interesting shops, dining, and marinas are within a few minutes drive or boat ride. Go have fun and enjoy food and entertainment at The Weirs, Wolfeboro, Meredith, Alton Bay, and Center Harbor! Twice a day the Mount Washington ship goes by, and its docks for excursion trips are only 10-25 minutes away in Alton Bay and Meredith Harbor.

In the mood for outdoors live music? Go have a blast at the Meadowbrook summer concert venue, a 10 minute drive to Gilford. My cottage is located near the base of Belknap Mountain, which is only a 5 minute drive away and offers great apple and blueberry picking, hiking, and Mountain and Lake views from the Summit and close to it.

The Funspot, which is terrific for a family outing of games and entertainment, is only 20 minutes away towards Meredith. And Meredith is also home to a few fantastic Common Man restaurants, offering both casual and white tablecloth dining: The Lakehouse Grille, Lago, and the Town Docks (the latter being a t-shirt & shorts place; roam in the sand & relax with a drink while you wait for your lobster, clams, other fish, and burgers). Try the fabulous Canoe Restaurant on the Lake in Center Harbor, too, which is accessible by Boat or Auto.

A ten minute boat ride straight across from the Cottage gets you to the deepest part of the Lake (almost 200 feet) for bass, trout, and salmon fishing. And even though there is so much to enjoy in the area, my Cottage is a perfect, peaceful retreat!!

Come and enjoy the wind in the pines, beautiful clear Lake, the special calls of the loons, starry nights, and the sound of gently lapping Lake water....or more dynamic waves crashing against the granite outcropping, as you breathe the fresh mountain air and fall into fantastic reading....or deep sleep!
