This village-based suite is within a three minute walk from restaurants, parks, hotels & the town docks. It features private parking, a bocce court, decks with views, and a very central location. The suite has a large bedroom with queen mattress, a small bedroom with a twin, private bath, and a large sitting room with Apple TV. We provide towels, toiletries, free wifi, and complementary beverages. Additional bedrooms and bath rooms are available on a case-by-case basis for $75 per room.

This suite boasts 518 ft2 of private living space, including a 200 ft2 sitting room. Guests are welcome through a common vestibule, but have private access as well. The private bath has a shower with pedestal vanity. Towels, tissue, soap, and shampoo are provided. Fresh egyptian cotton linens cover a top end bed. There is a second bedroom, equipped with a short single mattress, perfect for an accompanying child or guest of yours. The master bedroom has AC while the balance of the suite is fan cooled. The property has a bocce court and several decks to enjoy any one of many Adirondack to find a quiet reading corner, or to view the bustle of the town docks one minute away. We are ideally located within the village just a few minutes walk from shopping, eating, the resort hotels, entertaining and recreation of all manner.

Guest Access

Twelve Lake Street is on the corner of Lake and Lang Streets. Our parking is off Lang Street behind the stone terraced yard. A sign "Bare Feet Pied Nu" hangs by a sliding door; this is the common entry. Once you access the vestibule, your unit is on the right down one step. This is where you will meet your host. Once you settle in, you will have private access to Lake Street.

Interaction with Guests

We love to entertain, yet we also know the importance of privacy. Our goal is to provide a clean, comfortable and relaxing environment for our guests. We periodically host private yoga sessions in the loft studio or top deck of the main house, and often welcome guests to enjoy a fireside chat, or a musical instrument session in our whiskey and beer cave.

The Neighborhood

We're on the corner of Lake and Lang Streets, in the heart of Meredith Village. All of our immediate neighbors are residential, which generally means it's quiet. Just up the hill about a minute is the library, post office, health food store, and a winery. Within three minutes walk there is a bar, coffee shop and several antique shops. A five minute walk brings you to multiple restaurants and hotels, the Church Landing luxury resort, and the waterfront park and boardwalk. The town docks are a quick minute down hill (which is also where you can catch a private ride on our boat Knotico).

Getting Around

Once you settle in at 12 Lake, you could remain afoot for your entire stay. There is a regional bus line that serves the area, and the Winnipesaukee Rail Road has regular trips to the Weirs beach area, a fun place to visit for a few hours. The station is a five minute walk from us.

Other Things to Note

The owners operate a private charter boat business on Lake Winnipesaukee, Knotico, featuring swimming cove picnics, moonlight rides, and day tours for up to 6 passengers. VRBO guests receive up to a 25% discount on all packages, assuming availability. Meredith is a resort town with arts, entertainment, recreation, and dining opportunities galore. Whether you are here to attend a theater production, a wedding, or one of the art fairs you'll find the location is ideal. There is shopping at a variety of boutiques, an annual antique boat show, and several places to hike or swim.... all within a short walk of the property.

About the community: We live in a traditional New England village. The church bells chime on the hour and the fire horn will blast at any time of day, reminding us volunteers are hard at work. Most traffic is at bay, but expect the periodic rumble of a Harley passing the house. There are two very kind dogs on the property, one of which signals coming visitors with a friendly bark. We have kayaks and a canoe, and great knowledge of the best local areas.
