Great Stay
Posted Aug 30, 2022

As promised, this location sleeps 6 with all of the necessary items for sleeping, eating (bring a cork screw), bathroom essentials (If you are a large group, I would bring a few extra rolls of TP, just to be safe) and enjoying fun in the sun. There is a large yard, with a patio (BBQ included), balcony off of the living room/bedroom. The water was clear and warm. It was a bit shallow but we stayed at the end of August and there was minimal rain this summer. I was a bit disappointed, as the lake did have swimmers (duck) itch. We are from Alberta so this is nothing new to us, but we were not expecting it in a BC. We did enjoy the water all the same though. The view of the Rocky's was great. There are lots of hiking trails near by. Lussier Hot Springs is a bit of a drive but definitely worth it. Location is close to Kimberley, Cranbrook and Fort Steele. Kimberley has some great little shops, coffee shops and restaurants, as well as a ride on the train to the mine (last train at 3:00 pm sharp). All in all, we had a good time and enjoyed our stay. A Wonderful Family Holiday On The Lake!
Posted Aug 16, 2022

We have a family reunion each summer for a week and had a wonderful stay on Wasa Lake this year - our first experience at this lake! The accommodation was more than we expected: a very clean house with all the fixings one could want: spacious living quarters, laundry in the house, a wonderful kitchen set up, 2 full baths, a deck and a patio, a family room with games table and comfy couches, lots of big windows that all looked out to the lake. We were able to enjoy the new dock that had been installed; the water was warm and very clear; we fished, boated, tubed, wake boarded & kayaked & swam; the mountains are just beautiful, (we are from the flatter part of Alberta!) Our hosts living were amazing - we would love to go back another time! Phil & Lezlee Heninger
