We think we've found the perfect location in the perfect little town in Florida, and want you to discover why we fell in love with this wonderful place! We recently completed a total renovation of our two-bedroom, two-bath, second floor condo in Punta Gorda Isles, a quiet residential community with canals behind nearly every home and condo, which give easy access for boaters to Charlotte Harbor and the nearby islands (including Sanibel and Captiva) as well as the relaxed feeling only living on the water can provide.
Updates include new tile and carpeting throughout, a modern kitchen with stainless appliances, granite counter tops, new cabinetry, and a full complement of pots pans and other cooking necessities - even a Keurig for that perfect cup of coffee. The living and dining areas are open to the kitchen so the cook will never feel cut off from family or guests. The living area has a lovely view of the canal only steps away, its own lanai, and an entertainment center with 55 inch flat screen HDTV and stereo sound system, Bluetooth audio, Hulu and Netflix. The master bedroom has a queen bed, large closets for storage, and its own lanai for enjoying the morning or just letting the breezes blow through. The master bath has a large shower with sliding glass doors, while the guest bath off the hallway has a bath tub with shower. The guest bedroom also has a queen bed and two large closets, and also features a lovely view of the canals. A canal-side condominium pool is available to you for a refreshing dip or just relaxing with a good book.
Your car will appreciate the covered parking space which is within forty feet of the front door, and if you're lucky enough to be bringing a boat to Florida, the private dock with 10,000 pound lift is available to you at no charge, for up to a 22 foot boat. The dock is only five minutes to open water, and the boating opportunities in the area are legendary.
You'll enjoy the five minute walk to Fishermen's Village, with excellent restaurants, bars, fishing and boating excursions, and entertainment almost every night. Even the downtown area, with its great restaurants, bars, and shopping is only a few minutes by car, with easy and free parking - or enjoy a bike ride along the waters edge on a loaner bike.
If you're looking for the perfect tan, head to Venice beach to the north or several beaches including Fort Myers Beach to the south. Beach towels, chairs and a beach umbrella are provided - even a cooler for the picnic! A short thirty minutes south is Fort Myers, with great shopping, eating, and interesting places to visit like the winter home of Thomas Edison. Sanibel Island is also a fun destination, or head twenty minutes further south to Naples. An important note for those new to Florida is that - surprise - the state goes a long way from north to south, and the winters are significantly warmer in the Punta Gorda area than areas farther north.
