In town 2 bedroom guest cottage with a private fenced backyard. The cottage is part of an estate that was built by a family that manufacture silk thread in town. The property features mature trees, and garden. Renovated September 2016, the home has new appliances, granite counter tops, a master bedroom, 2nd bedroom, a living room fire place & a covered outdoor dining area. The Taft School is a 2 minute drive from the cottage. There are many fine restaurants within walking distances of the property along with a Cinema. Black Rock State Park is a short drive on route 6.
The house has a relaxing atmosphere, it was built in 1950 with plaster construction that makes it very quiet. The backyard is surround by 100 foot white pine trees and there is an area where you can light a bond fire on a fall evening- firewood is provided. The cottage has a pet door that will accommodate a 35lb. pet. It is fenced in with a 5 foot stone wall boarding the roads.
You will have access to the full 7 acres and a private stream that runs through the back of the property it is a wonderful place to be when the weather gets warm.

Second time we stayed there when visiting family in town. Clean, comfortable and centrally located. It’s a great little cottage!

We were very pleased with the cozy guest cottage. It was nicely decorated, clean, and well stocked. Would like to have had some information on trash removal, etc. There was a nice booklet with information on places to dine, shop, etc,, but no instructions for putting out the trash or departure instructions.
