This home is in a beautiful palm treed setting. Spruce Creek Golf & Country Club Del Webb is for the +55 community complete with an assortment of amenities and clubs for you to enjoy during your 90 day+ stay. There are three large swimming pools; two outdoor; one indoor. three hot tubs, plenty of covered pavilions and seating. There are four golf courses with very reasonable rates..Pickleball a growing sport in the United States is very popular (500 members at Spruce Creek CC) as is tennis, softball, shuffleboard, bocce, walking trails, water volleyball, sand volleyball, and billiards. For those not sports minded there are 70 clubs including cards, arts and crafts courses, computer and technology, fishing, sewing, books,music, chorus,etc. Something for everyone. There are movies and trips to be had.Participate in everything or nothing. Your choice. There is a separate sports center with state of the art equipment and classes in different forms for every fitness, strength and balance level. A bicycle is available in our garage for your use. There is an extended garage so if you want to bring vehicles, motorcycle, golf cart, kayak, etc. there is room. There is also parking in the driveway. No street parking allowed. While we are on the "no's", sorry but no pets and no smoking anywhere on our personal premises.. I am strict on these two things. Next door to the community entrance is a new Ocala Health System Emergency Center. It gives peace of mind to know that help is right there if you need it. There is also a new VA Outpatient Clinic nearby. A few miles south is the famous Villages community. Spanish Springs is the closest square with nightly free entertainment. Entertainment is 365 days a year. There are restaurants galore, as well as a restaurant at Spruce Creek, great for that soup and sandwich midday looking over the golf course.They also have dinner.At the amenities center there are frequent activities to sign up for. Every Tuesday night the Men's Kitchen Club prepares a nice dinner plate for $5. A great place to meet people and no dishes. Movies are also shown some evenings. You can always check DVDs and books, or spend time in the Computer Center checking your email or googling your next adventure. The center is just one half mile from our house. An easy walk or drive. The pools are each around one half mile from the house as well. The great thing about the pools are that they are heated. Many people water walk, and some swim laps. Some just hang around or bask in the sun. Very peaceful. For those who shop there are plenty of opportunities. Grocery stores are 4 miles away including Publix, Winn-Dixie and Walmart. Walgreens and CVS are at every intersection. For day trips you can go to historic Atlantic St. Augustine Beach in 90 minutes or to Daytona Beach. Orlando, Disney, Sea World and Universal studios are one hr. away. There are shuttles to the airport. State Parks abound, including famous Silver Springs and its glass bottom boats, and our favorites are where you can watch the manatees migrate to warm waters in the winter. Large markets and flea markets are nearby. For the horse lovers, Ocala is about 20 minutes away. Beautiful live oaks and fences line the roads with horses grazing or training in the background. Farm tours are available.Our favorite thing to do is go on nearby river cruises watching birds and wildlife including alligators and manatees.

The house is 1500 square foot of living with 2 good sized bedrooms, 2 full baths, a great room for living and dining, a bar with two bar chairs. Over the large dining table is a beautiful Tiffany design hanging lamp. The kitchen is quite large with eat-in for four. The great room has three large glass panels that slide back opening to a large lanai.There are folding privacy screens. There are lounge chairs, Martha Stewart chairs, and dining table, a bistro set, and a large Pawleys Island hammock. The lanai attaches to a tall screened area which in FL is called "a birdcage". It feels like you are living outdoors. The back yard is full of landscaping and is private. It is not uncommon to see a large tall water bird like a heron or ibis walk past. Even the Florida geckos can be entertaining. Many days are warm and I love opening up the house. Rent includes water, electricity, garbage and recycling collection, yard care, plus all the wonderful basic amenities of Spruce Creek Country Club. There is no landline phone in the home. It is resort living with 24 hr. manned security and automatic gates. You will be assigned a bar code for entry upon your arrival day and given an ID card. The house is equipped with the basic items needed for daily living. The main living room area is carpeted and the foyer, kitchen, laundry and baths have tile. The house was painted fall 2016 and tile cleaned. For television we have Direct TV Satellite and a 48 inch flat screen in the great room. There is also a DVD player and the Direct TV network has DVR. Come enjoy the Florida sunshine and breezes. No coats needed. Come on down!!! A great place for a couple. Come relax under the palm trees!
