Nestled on 77 acre Lake Wilipyro in the Cheqaumegon National Forest sits this Beautiful 1930’s vertical log cabin/ lodge. It has recently been completely remodeled with new electrical...the works, while leaving the absolute charm of this home untouched! Owner turned down offer to have home featured in Better Homes and Gardens. Furnished with high end furniture and fabrics, Waterworks sinks and faucets, Asko appliances, DCS range/grill, antiques, custom furniture from Adirondacks, etc! Beautifully decorated!

Features one level living ~huge Great room with pool table, large fireplace, large antique dining table.. Remarkable stained glass doors that took 2 people one week to create! Boasts sunroom with all windows facing Lake Wilipyro, watch the sunset each evening as it is Westerly facing. Lodge has 5 beautifully furnished bedrooms. Large kitchen with top of the line appliances, including ice maker, and wine refrigerator, and mini fridge. Well stocked kitchen, owners love to cook! Enjoy meals at the center island or converse with the cook. There is a long sofa in the kitchen to sip your coffee in the morning as well- while seating by the kitchen fireplace!

Free use of 2 kayaks and Lund fishing boat with Minn Kota motor.

Cable Wisconsin is known for Telemark Ski Area, and back in the day this lodge housed the USA Olympic Cross Country Ski Team while training in Wisconsin. There is much history here. Cable itself has much to offer~ antiquing, shopping, restaurants, also a hardware/grocery store with everything you need! It is located 20 minutes North of Hayward, WI. If you are a sports enthusiast you have come to the right place. The bike/snowmobile/hiking/ski trails are among the best in the country! Lakes are everywhere~ fishing, and recreational boating and water activities await you!

Our lake is a clear water lake with sandy beach for swimming, raft will be out to enjoy. Feel free to use the 2 kayaks or Lund fishing boat, also has a private dock, yard for bocce ball, etc.. Lake Wilypyro is a “Quiet Sports Lake” with minimum wake rule at all times, and no public access. There are no jet skis zooming by! Enjoy the peace and serenity! The fishing is outstanding! If you are interested we can introduce you to a fabulous fishing guide who is willing to take you to any lake you would like to go, as well as Wilipyro.

Our lodge shares the beach/ and sauna with 5 other cabins in our cul-de-sac. It is still quiet and people respect your wish for privacy. Our neighbors are all lovely people, and no one is there that often! So pack up your essentials and come enjoy the beauty of the great North Woods in luxury and style!

The fall color tour routes take you off the beaten path (but not too far off, the roads are all still paved!) and through the Chequamegon National Forest from north to south, and east to west around the Cable Area. Take in the natural beauty.

Mountain Biking Capital of the Midwest! Over 300 miles of mapped and marked trails in the Cable Area. (CAMBA), the system is divided into six clusters, each with one or more trailheads. The system stretches from Hayward to Iron River, making the Cable Area the hub of one of Wisconsin's best mountain biking destinations. One of the Midwest's most popular because of their variety, scenic beauty and 'impossible to get lost' signage. The routes follow a variety of paths, including logging roads, fire lanes, snowmobile trails, ski trails and single track. The Cable Area boasts one of the largest cross country ski trail networks in the county, the American Birkebeiner Trail-with 150 kilometers of interconnected trails you can ski for days. The woods take on a special beauty in the winter and there's no better way to experience it than on cross country skis.
