If extra space is needed, a 1 bedroom 1 bath cabin, The Hunni Hut, sits a few steps away and can comfortably sleep 5 people and is available for an additional fee. You could host your family reunion here, or enjoy a quiet weekend for two or any group size in between with privacy, proximity to the lake, and a myriad of wildlife. Since we are pet lovers and owners, we understand that some of you may want to bring your fur babies along. We have a fenced back yard to allow them to run and they are welcome for an additional pet deposit. Down a quiet gravel road, you will enjoy peace and quiet, or time to catch up on some readings, or take a walk in the woods to discover the nearby caves and streams and waterfalls. Located 10 minutes from major boat docks in either direction, and 15 minutes in either direction from the towns of Somerset and Monticello, you have convenience while maintaining the feeling of being remote- perfect for a relaxing vacation. We are flexible to work with your schedule as well, so whether you have a night, a weekend, a week or longer to stay, as long as we're available, you are welcome!

Overall it was a pleasant experience.

This cabin has a great layout for a couple of families to share. The loft area and bunk room are perfect for kids and there are 3 rooms with doors good for adults (king, double, 2 twins). There are 3 1/2 baths which was ample. Our group of 10 fit very comfortably-6 kids, 4 adults. It is located out of the way, in the middle of the woods. There a some state parks in the area. You can see the river water through the trees, but not a full view. The yard area is fairly steep, no flat areas. The back porch area is very nice. It is an older cabin with updates, so it has an older feel. The lighting in most of the rooms is not very good. The owner was very responsive with any questions we had. It worked great for us.
