Or head in to historic Buena Vista, Colorado, about 8 miles away, to visit the many galleries, shops, and restaurants the area affords. The Arkansas River is just a mile away for those looking for world-class fishing, rafting, or kayaking. The Tomcat Ranch is also central to Aspen, Vail, and Summit County, and is two hours from Denver and Colorado Springs.
The vacation home features THREE bedrooms with 2 king beds in two bedrooms and 2 twin beds in the third bedroom, a sofa-sleeper in the living room, and two twins in a basement. The house has one full and one half bathroom, a well-stocked kitchen, an adjacent dining room, and an ample yet cozy great room. Myself and 5 others stayed here with our 2 dogs to celebrate New Years weekend. The house was the perfect size to accommodate all of us and provided everything that was specified on the listing. We really enjoyed hiking and exploring the property; Mike was extremely friendly and helpful when we had questions and needed directions! It was close enough to town and the main house if we needed anything but also felt private and secluded. I would absolutely recommend staying here; the views and the property were beautiful. I think all of us will be keeping it in mind for future weekend getaways!

We stayed a week in October and had a great time. The house is situated where you have a great view in most directions. It is very quiet and secluded at the house. The house had everything we needed. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. We enjoyed our evening fires in the fire pit and enjoyed seeing stars we don't get to see at home. One morning we were surprised to see some eyes peeking over the fence - it was a family of a mama and papa and two baby deers. Nice way to start the day. Of course Mike and Holly's dog Charger came to visit each day. My dog and him got along great. Overall this is a great vacation house that we will return to soon. Mike and Holly were great hosts.

This vacation rental checked off everything on my list. My significant other wanted to do some fishing,hiking,and a view of the mountains. This rental did not disappoint! Also, IT IS absolutely private! Mike and his wife Holly made sure that we had everything we needed and also made us feel right at home. This will definitely be a place that we will frequent when we want to get away.
