The Balsam units are the newest buildings in the Aspens, built in 1992 and the layout is more functional than in the older buildings. This unit is one of the rare ones with a living room view of woods and mountain.
Our 800 sq. ft. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo has a new kitchen, bathroom and wireless Sonos sound system plus wifi. The comfortable living room has wood floors, attractive wood burning fireplace, with 2 sofas (one queen size sleep sofa) and a flat screen cable TV with CD player. In our book cases you'll find a collection of hiking books and local trail maps for your use while guests. The dining area seats 6. Sliding glass doors look out on the deck, Aspens and Lodgepole Pines. There is a b-b-q and patio chairs on the deck.
The new kitchen has an eat-at marble counter top with designer bar stools, all new appliances and beech cabinets. It is fully furnished for cooks as we live here 6 months of the year.
The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed with 2 side tables and closet, The picture window has both shades and curtains to either provide privacy, or to completely block all light for great sleeping.
The generous bathroom has two rooms, one with bathtub and toilet. The other has 2 sinks set in marble, beech floor to ceiling storage cabinets, and a new washer & dryer. The hallway has enough space to store your ski boots, hiking boots, coats, etc. There are racks for your skis outside the front door.
The condo is located on the first floor, near the entrance to the Aspen's and is only a 3 minute walk to the bus stop or to the Aspen's food and wine market and other local shopping. There are tennis courts and a pool in the Aspens. You can also take the 'START' bus to the ski resort or into town, and don't need to drive a car, and can save on ski resort parking.
There is a beautiful, safe, multi use path at the Aspens entrance which goes to the ski resort, GTNP, Jackson, and Wilson. You can bike or drive to the Snake River for a memorable river walk, even in winter. The Aspen's is located 8 miles from the Moose-Wilson entrance to the Grand Teton National Park.
Jackson Whole Foods Grocer and Albertson's supermarket are about a 15 minute scenic drive towards town. Jackson Hole has an excellent 'Center for the Arts' and an outstanding county library.
If you don't feel like driving, you may walk to 3 excellent restaurants serving Japanese, Austrian or American cuisine and to a cosy coffee house - Elevated Grounds.
