Special Features of The Leonard Lodge:
Custom outdoor chairlift swing - weight limit 300lbs- the kids love it! Outdoor fire pit with picnic tables to enjoy s'mores or just a few evening beverages around the fire. We do not provide wood at this time however there is usually plenty for sale close by and the plethora of woods behind the house tends to be an endless easy supply from fallen trees from winters past.
Adirondack handmade sports bar in the downstairs entertainment room along with 2 twin sofa sleepers, flat sceen LED tv with apple tv, dart board, stereo and board games.
Fully stocked Kitchen with coffeemaker, blender, convection toaster, fridge with filtered water, gas style cook top and oven.
We travel with small children often so we know about the little things when vacationing. We have supplied basic toys and books in the kids bunk room, a Graco pack n play is available for use (bring your own crib sheets) step stool for the bathroom and the full size washer and dryer will make any mom's home away from home life much easier! This is our beloved ADK home, we hope you love it as much as we do for a family retreat. We have taken loftly measures to ensure that although this home is in the beautiful wilderness of the ADK park the basic essentials of life are available including: Wifi, Apple Tv, Netflix, Basic Cable and Updated Televisions in every bedroom and both living areas. There is no house phone however the wifi is excellent for wifi enabled phones and the service is great on the Verizon network that spans the ADK's. I should also note here the television in the bunk room only works with netflix and amazon prime videos both of which are supplied on the tv there unfortunately at this time there is no cable to that room. All the other rooms have cable.
The Leonard Lodge is close to Whiteface Mountain, Santa's Workshop, Little Super Market, Ausable River, Lake Placid... to name a few. You’ll love The Leonard Lodge because of the views, the location, fully stocked kitchen, offset from road, quiet and private, outdoor spaces to enjoy, finished basement with custom bar and additional living area. The Leonard lodge is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). On Face book you can find us @theleonardlodge.
- The Leonard Lodge is in the heart of Wilmington. It's about a 6 minute drive to the Whiteface mountain ski resort, 18 minute drive to Lake Placid and very conveniently located next to the town's Little Super Market which along with their go-to deli counter, LSM has basic essentials to stock the pantries so an unplanned trip to the grocery isn't necessary. Craft beer? Yes! Wilmington has quite the selection over at the North Pole Camp Grounds General store, so much variety. There is also a liquor store available there too.

Our stay at the Leonard Lodge was such a happy and memorable experience. I was there with my husband and children and parents in law for over a week & it really was a comfortable stay. Brittany was great with helping with any requests we had, the locality is incredible, everyone we met in Wilmington were so friendly and we relaxed entirely, especially around the fire pit, which we enjoyed on many evenings! There is so much to see and do in the area, we were never without an idea of how to fill our days.
Great location and convenient to the mountain. Nice decor and room for everyone. Clean and modern. Very nice.
Family of 5 - nice bedrooms and kitchen - liked the downstairs rooms with dartboard and Netflix - enjoyed the company of the neighbours dog Joplin
Our family of 7 stayed at this cottage in Wilmington, the first week of July and were very impressed by how clean and comfortable the house was. Everything you could possibly need and all the comforts of home with TVs in every room, fully equipped kitchen and lovely yard. The bunk room with toys was perfect for the grandchildren ages 7 and 5. The queen sized beds in the other 2 bedrooms were extremely comfortable and we sent my husband down to the basement to sleep (he snores loudly, lol). My son-in-law built a fire in the fire ring each night where we made s'mores. Location was great (within minutes) for activities at Whiteface Mountain and Santa's Workshop which the kids loved (especially the "North Pole" in the park which is solid ice). There was also a small grocery store less than a block down the street which had a small deli onsite.
