Pakele Lani is Hawaiian for “heavenly escape” and that’s precisely what awaits guests of this 4 bedroom 4 ½ bath detached single-story home.

There are comfortable beds for up to 12 adults and 4 additional children with 3 king beds, 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed, 1 king sleeper, 1 single sleeper, 1 roll-away, 1 toddler bed and 2 cribs. Most of the beds have memory foam mattresses.

The home includes a 4-seat NEV electric car that makes travel within the resort even more convenient and fun. It's perfect for carrying our stand-up paddle board to the beach. The NEV can go anywhere within the resort that a regular car can go, and benefits from reserved parking spaces at the Beach Club. The NEV allows some members of the group to explore the island in their rental car while others use the NEV to get around the resort.

Located in the gated KaMilo community within the renowned Mauna Lani Resort, there are over 3100 square feet of living space including a detached Ohana (guest house). Furnishings and décor are of the highest quality. With a private pool and spa, access to the KaMilo Recreation Center and all the amenities of the Mauna Lani Resort, this impeccable property provides absolutely everything for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

For maximum comfort and privacy, each bedroom has en-suite facilities, extreme thread-count linens, plush towels, a ceiling fan and a television with Internet-connected media player.

The home is fully air-conditioned, though most will want to open the wall of glass doors and savor the balmy tropical breezes. Wireless internet is available throughout the property. Pakele Lani has everything needed for a beach excursion from plush beach towels and snorkel equipment to beach chairs, umbrellas, cabanas, folding beach wagon, coolers and sand toys. There are also boards for body, skid and stand-up paddle action.

There are 10 bicycles and helmets provided for guests to use. They range from kid bikes with training wheels to full-sized adult mountain bikes.

There are several nearby beaches within the Mauna Lani resort. The best beach is the private Mauna Lani Beach Club. This beach has cabanas, beach chairs, showers, bathrooms, and a full service restaurant and bar. The water is calm and warm and the snorkeling is superb. It's a pleasant 3 minute drive in the NEV or in your rental car. We provide a gate card for free access to the private parking lot and the beach.

The closest beach is Holoholokai Beach Park. Directly behind the house on the other side of the the 11th fairway, it's just a 5 minute walk or bike ride away. This beach has picnic tables, parking, bathrooms and showers. It's great for beach combing, surf-side walks, whale watching and surfing.

Pakele Lani is surrounded by meticulously maintained mature tropical trees, flowering plants and lush ground cover. There is ample parking for up to 4 vehicles in the large private drive directly in front of the home. Just past the eucalyptus entry gate are the lava rock fenced front yard, ohana, patio and entry foyer.

The commodious shaded lanai has lounges, chairs, an outdoor dining area and BBQ grill. It's great for pool-side entertaining, relaxation and family meals. Warm tropical breezes, the scent of Plumeria and the sounds of rustling palm fronds and waves of nearby Holoholokai Beach caress the senses.

The fenced rear yard abuts the 11th fairway of the Mauna Lani North Course. The large level lawn, private pool and spa give guests plenty of room to soak up the ever-present South Kohala sunshine.

Just across the way from Pakele Lani is the KaMilo Recreation Center. At no additional cost, guests may enjoy an enormous family pool with separate shallow area for small children, a lap pool, a well-equipped work-out facility, two spas and and over two acres of grassy play-fields. There is also a covered picnic and gathering area with kitchen that can seat over 50 people. The picnic area can be reserved for parties or events.

Pakele Lani’s spacious Great Room with its soaring grass cloth and mahogany vaulted ceilings opens onto the expansive covered lanai and pool deck. Choose from a variety of spaces to sit or recline on soft leather while serenaded by the sweet calls of Hawaii’s Zebra Doves. Every evening this huge living space is treated to spectacular Hawaiian sunsets.

A chef’s dream, exotic hardwood cabinets frame the kitchen with its lavishly equipped top-quality cookware, appliances, utensils and tableware by Thermador, Wüsthof, Zojirushi, Bella, Breville, Pfaltzgraff, etc. Everything from the rice cooker to the Belgian waffle maker is the best in category.

The separate Family Entertainment Room has a king-size memory foam sleeper couch and is well stocked with toys, books, games and activities for all ages. Featured are toys for preschoolers on up including Thomas the Tank Engine trains, action figures, dolls, Mega Bloks, Legos, board games, numerous video disks and a Playstation system with over 20 popular game titles and a variety of controllers.

The spacious Master Suite has a king bed, soaking tub, two-person shower, two wash basins and separate WC. It has direct access to the lanai and outdoor spa for romantic evening soaks under the spectacular Hawaiian night skies.

The Princess Suite is located down a hallway near the front of the main house well away from the living and entertaining areas. It has a king bed, and a private walk-in shower and commode.

The Keiki Room has a queen bed, a twin bed and its own bath with a shower over tub and separate WC. There is a television and a ceiling fan. In the closet you will find a crib, high chair and stroller to accommodate even the youngest of guests. There's a full sized laundry room down the hall.

Just in front of the main house is the Ohana, a self-contained living space with a private entrance. It is ideal for the nanny, personal assistant, or traveling companions who need a bit more privacy. There is a king bed as well as a love-seat that opens into a single bed. The Ohana has a micro-fridge and coffee maker as well as a walk-in shower and separate WC. Sliding doors lead to a private lanai with café table seating.

We provide daily housekeeping starting after the second night of your stay. This includes cleaning of the kitchen and all five bathrooms, fresh towels, and other cleaning tasks as requested. There are no additional charges for setup or for cleaning after your departure.
