You will love this 2014 newly constructed custom built home! We are located less than one mile from US highway 68/80...on a dead end street...making it a very quiet and relaxing location!

As you can see in the pictures, this home features two bedrooms both with private baths. One bedroom has a queen sized bed while the other bedroom has a full bed. The upstairs loft will sleep 3 with a full and twin sized bed. The kitchen has brand new stainless steel appliances and is stocked with the basic necessitates to make your stay as relaxing as possible. There is a screened in back porch for your bug-free enjoyment. We will soon be constructing another deck for additional seating, grilling and much more.(deck completed 2016) My wife and I live at the end of the street and you are always welcome to stroll down 3 houses and use our entire peninsula lot! This cottage is not allowed a dock on the main channel but you are welcome to use our dock, its just a 3 min walk down to our lot. There is Dish Network programming on a 55' LED Samsung TV. Also, free Wifi for your convenience. On a chilly day, you can snuggle up on the leather couch and enjoy the gas log fireplace. Included in your stay is a 6 person pass to The Fitness Center at Lake Barkley State Park. The Fitness Center features; indoor pool, sauna, steam room, racquetball, free weights, Nautilus machines, outdoor basketball, outdoor tennis, daily aerobic classes, and much much more.

This house will be most comfortable with 5 or less people. 8 guests is our maximum.

All I need to to reserve your stay today is the damage deposit. The damage deposit is $300.00 is fully refundable and can be paid online through VRBO, by credit card over the phone, or you can send a check in the mail.

The balance must be paid in full NO LATER than 2 weeks before you arrive. I do understand you get busy and sometimes forget... no problem but if you choose to pay when you arrive you must let me know in advance and it must be in the form of cash or credit card. At the time you arrive, a check will not be accepted!!

Preferred payment method is by echeck online OR cash when you arrive.

No more than 2 pets are allowed. There is a $50 fee for each pet.

 There is room for 2-3 cars in the driveway. There is plenty of room for over flow parking, just let me know and I’ll show you where it is.

 ALL your linens are provided. I always recommend bringing your pillow for your comfort.

 The kitchen has basic pots and pans and utensils for your general cooking needs.

 There is a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen.

 The neighborhood is located on a dead end street and is usually very quiet.

 Our neighbors’ kids play in the street so please drive with caution.

 The grill is propane and the propane is provided. Bring a lighter as ours tend to walk off.

 The outdoor grill is not cleaned by the cleaning staff, please clean up after yourself. Also, please excuse the last guest for not listening to the first part of this statement.

 The steps on the deck will lead you all the way to the shoreline.

 The water is gently sloping and you can swim from the shore.

 The bottom of the lake is rocky and semi-muddy. I recommend wearing lake shoes.

 Yes, you can fish from the shoreline. KY fish and game laws apply.

 You can use my COVERED DOCK at the end of the street.

 Everyone is welcome to come to the end of the street and use my lot on the point. I do ask that you respect our privacy.

 I have 3 yellow Labradors (dogs) that stay on my lot. They will bark and are MOSTLY friendly. Like humans they do have bad days. Daisy is getting old and likes to be rubbed but very gently as she has bad hips and gets crabby if you push, pull, ride, hug, pick up, or lay on her. Lilly barks a lot, ignore her and she will ignore you; she is scared of strangers and the more you call or whistle at her the more she will bark. Ivy is young and loves everyone especially kids. NONE of the 3 are allowed to leave the property. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not take them on the boat with you without letting me know. If you tell them NO and mean it they will listen to you.

 The pontoons we have available for rent : 2001 monsoon 24’ pontoon with an Mercury 65hp 4 stroke engine. Also available is a 2003 Crest also with a 60hp 4 stroke Mercury. These are shared between all of our rental houses and I do recommend you reserve in advance. Both rent for $200 cash or $225 with credit card (daily) including one tank of fuel per day. Additional fuel can be purchased at lake barkley marina. We do have 2 tubes for rent for $25 cash or $30 with credit card (daily). The pontoon is always docked at our COVERED dock. Once I have given you safety instructions you are allowed to use the boat from sunrise to sunset. !!!NO night use!!! If you are out after dark I will assume you are missing and emergence personnel will be notified. No charge for rain outs. We do not offer half day rentals.

 I always recommend you bring your food with you. Our grocery stores are no comparison to the stores most are used to in the city.

All holidays require 3 day minimum stay.

House is on a quiet residential street right by the bridge, very convenient to all the activities and sites at LBL. Only a 20-30 minute drive to Murray. House has steps down to the lake shore, so we enjoyed fishing right there, as well as having a bonfire and enjoying the beautiful view of the lake from the decks and screened in porch. The house is in very good shape, very well kept and clean, nicely decorated. The sheets and towels were all soft and fluffy. Only weird thing was the only 2 bathrooms were in the two 1st floor bedrooms. Nice for the adults, but the kids sleeping in the loft had to go through the grownups' bedrooms in order to use the bathroom. But that wasn't too big of a deal. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!
