This Solar Powered property is approached by 1/4 mile of driveway lined with 25+ foot tall cypress trees. This 3bed/2bath home is about 300 feet from the Main Home.

It has a well equipped kitchen, whole house water filter, WiFi, smart TV in living room and comfortable L shaped couch.

King size bed in Master. Queen size in both other bedrooms. All have TV's with cable service.

Darts game and Foosball table in the Garage. Walking distance to wineries, 6 bicycles to use at no charge, etc...

Guest Access:

There is a beautiful Fishing pond on the property with water fall that our guests may enjoy during daylight. It has its own little beach and boat docked on it.

The water fall also acts as an aeration and filtration system for the Fish. (Bass, Blue gill and Catfish, etc)

** Kids under 12 years of age, only allowed with responsible adult supervision.

**No swimming or entering the pond allowed!

Guests that bring their own fishing gear are allowed to fish! (Catch and Release)

Interaction with Guests:

My wife Hilde and I enjoy a nice chat with our Guests, but will always provide and respect their peace and privacy.

The Neighborhood:

Ballard (Solvang), the center of the Santa Ynez Valley was the first town that settled here in the late 1800's!

Surrounded by vineyards, mountains, horse ranches, farms and schoolhouses, you feel as you have arrived in a time warp of sorts where simple pleasures, mossy oaks, grassy fields, and warm sunny days are found.

We feel so fortunate to live here, closely guard its quiet serenity and are grateful for all the beauty, amenities, world class wineries, restaurants, breweries, and shopping this Valley has to offer.

A Beautiful route to the charming towns of Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, Solvang or Buellton takes only 5 to 10 minutes by car or make a loop and enjoy the scenery on one of our bicycles, provided to you at no charge!

Superb and serene setting! Very private, and amenities could not be bettered. The view is amazing! This home is essentially new, extremely well appointed, and as clean as one could imagine. I don't think you can find a better place to stay in the area, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends. Kris is a very accommodating and attentive host. We had a wonderful stay! The home is welcoming and well thought out for guest visits. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the shared living spaces (living room and outdoor patio area) are perfect for visiting over a cheese platter and glass of wine! Also, Chris is very helpful. He is available for questions and restaurant advice - his property is beautiful!

The photos on the site was a true representation of the home. Kris and his wife have a fantastic location yet extremely peaceful and quiet area. If you want to experience the cleanest and well supplied bnb with all the amenities , please make this your next destination in The area. This is truly a Solvang gem. We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful home! Unfortunately, we were so busy in the area, we didn't get to enjoy the house, property and amenities to the fullest. The house was spotless and comfortable, the property was beautiful and we can't wait to come back. Next time I would definitely stay longer so that we had more time to relax at home.

This is a fantastic place to stay. Kris made the whole process easy with simple to follow directions to the house and he was accessible if we had any questions. Thanks for the bottle of vino in the fridge! House was perfectly clean, and really far cleaner than any hotel you might consider instead. Kitchen was well appointed for cooking, there's a coffee maker, iron with ironing board, wifi, cable tv and everything worked perfectly. The bedroom behind the kitchen has an attached bathroom with a shower tub. Bedroom 2 and 3 are on the opposite side of the house and share a bathroom with a shower. The house can accommodate 3 couples comfortably. There's an inside kitchen table, but we ate at the table on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful view. This is a great location for visiting Solvang or wine tasting Santa Barbara County (which we did - extensively). We would love to make a return visit to this house!

We had a great time at Kris and Hilde's place! It was perfect for our family of 6 and 2 small children. This was our first Airbnb experience and it will be a tough one to beat! The area is amazing and the views from the home are phenomenal. The kids loved the mini horse farm and we enjoyed being near the wineries. The house is so nice and comfortable with everything you would need for a long weekend. Being close to Solvang and Santa Ynez made it quite convenient. Thanks Kris and Hilde! We will be back!!
