Our property offers an array of wildlife and natural beauty... with its sights and sounds....there is always something amazing to see on the river.

A quiet and serene birder's paradise where there are frequent sightings of bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, blue herons, snowy egrets, cormorants, mallard ducks and a variety of birds visiting our year-round feeder.

Perhaps you'll watch the historic sloop Clearwater set sail, see one of the local riverboats, private yachts, fellow kayakers or one of the many barges or tugboats that pass by. The Port of Albany and New York Harbor are the destinations of many of the vessels we see on the river, transporting quarried stone, wood pulp, cement and food products up and down the river.

For those who want to spend their time on the river, bring along your own kayak or canoe...follow the path down to the water...and you're off to experiencing this mighty Hudson River in a most intimate and unforgettable way. You'll see our local Kingston and Esopus lighthouses that are just to the north and south of us, the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge is also a nice excursion, nesting herons and cormorants are nearby and passing trains and historic estates will bring you back in time.

If you want to get outdoors for some hiking...many of the beautiful Scenic Hudson parks are nearby, some are only within a 15 minute drive. High Banks Preserve is Scenic Hudson's newest park, located just across the street from our property and offers 300 acres of marked trails. Esopus Meadows Preserve is just down the street, offering 96 acres of marked trails along the river, Black Creek Preserve with 130 acres, Poets' Walk is a beautiful stroll and it's just over the Kingston/Rhinecliff Bridge and Walkway Over The Hudson, just 15 minutes south of us. Mohonk Mountain House and Preserve and Minnewaska State Park offer great hiking, biking, rock climbing and swimming just within a 30-40 minute drive.
