The Ultra Modern Garden Apartment is conveniently located just a 1 minute walk from the subway station, as it is right around the corner. From there, it only takes 10 minutes to reach Manhattan by subway.

This beautiful, modern, tastefully designed, one-bedroom garden apartment is located in Astoria, New York City. There are high quality, ultra modern, and mid-century modern furniture and fixtures throughout the apartment. At about 750 square feet, the apartment takes up the entire floor of the townhouse. There is also access to the garden.

The living room, dining room, and kitchen have an open-plan design. In the living room, there is a comfortable, modern sectional sofa and classic Saarinen lounge chair as well as a large flat-screen television with satellite tv atop an Eames shelving unit.

The beautiful modern kitchen is equipped with quality appliances and gadgets. Whether cooking a feast, preparing a simple meal, or ordering from one of the many wonderful nearby restaurants, there is the large dining table and classic Eames dining chairs where to enjoy a meal.

The spacious bedroom has a king size bed. The king size mattress is Tempur-Pedic, which provides a very therapeutic, rejuvenating rest. The mattress is atop a walnut bed with marble bedside tables and lantern-like lamps. There is also a large modern wardrobe and mid-century modern bench with pillows. The ceiling lighting is also mid-century modern.

For sleeping accommodations for the third and fourth guests, the sectional sofa can be used, as it splits into two pieces and forms a queen size bed when facing the two pieces towards each other. Alternatively, we have available a high quality queen size air mattress with a memory foam top.

We also have a pack 'n play (playard) for baby, available upon request.

The large spa-style bathroom has a soothing, therapeutic shower area, which includes a 10-inch rain showerhead and 6 shower jets. The bathroom also has beautiful zebrano wood cabinetry, a large mirror, and other attractive fixtures.

The door in the kitchen opens up to the large garden. This is a special treat -- to have an outdoor space in the city! In the garden, you will find a dining table, chairs, 2 lounge chairs, and umbrella. The garden is a nice place where to lounge with a morning coffee before a busy day or relax after spending the day in the high-energy city. Depending on the season, the garden has some flowers, herbs, vegetables, and fruit.

The neighborhood of Astoria is the most diverse area in New York City. You will find this special area to be very conveniently located to many shops, boutiques, markets, restaurants, cafes, bars, beer gardens, museums, parks, and any other establishment that one needs or wants to have nearby in an urban setting. Many restaurants in Astoria have been highly rated by the Zagat restaurant guide, recommended in the prestigious Michelin guide, and raved about in The New York Times. For you, our guest, is a large welcome booklet in the apartment to help you with your planning, which includes details such as an extensive list of restaurants in the area, many nearby markets, and a map of the area with key points. This booklet will help to immediately get you familiar with the area.

The apartment altogether is a truly wonderful space that is enjoyable to wake up, relax, eat, and sleep in. It is sunny and cheerful, clean, new, fresh, and will contribute plenty of happiness and wonderful memories to your holiday in New York City!
