This beautiful 19th century country home, recently restored, is part of the “ Fattoria Il Leccio” lived and owned by the Passigli family for four generations. It sits on top of a hill overlooking the Valle del Mugnone, a gorgeous valley that offers panoramic views of gently slopping hills cultivated with well-tended olive groves as well as views of the town of Fiesole and the city of Florence. Giovanni Boccaccio in his 13th Century Decameron, locates some of his stories in this valley. The large shared pool, not visible from the house and surrounded by vegetation is salt treated. Personal transportation is advised. Private car service can be provided at additional cost. A few minutes away from the house there is the Fiesole/Caldine train station, with free parking, where the train reaches the Santa Maria Novella Central Station in Florence in 12 minutes. The second one, with its own ensuite bathroom with bathtub and shower, is next to the main bedroom and has the same panoramic view. It has two single beds as well as an open loft with a roof window that is reached through a staircase from the bedroom with an extra bed. New fully equipped kitchen, one living room has the original country fireplace,with dining area and a sofa bed, the other a wall of glass that opens onto the patio which is paved with old stone and has a table that was a stone wheel used to crush the olives.
