This beautiful 17th Century farm mas at the foot of Mont Ventoux sits amidst rows of vines, olives, swaying Cypress, kiwi groves and numerous fruit trees, almost hidden by the 100 year old Plane trees.
The property faces west overlooking vines and the village steeple of Loriol and has the grand display of Provencal sunsets every evening. The rooms are all bright and colorful with elegantly flowered fabrics. The entire house is very french, very homey, not overly sophisticated and certainly comfortable for children; a home with personality for up to 10 people.
The best Cotes du Rhones wines come from the famous neighboring villages of Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Beaume de Venise (10 minutes) and Châteauneuf-du-Pape (20 minutes). Every Friday there is one of the largest and best known Provencal markets in Carpentras ,the second largest truffles market in Provence. There is also a wonderful marche aux puces (flea market) in Carpentras on every Sunday. Well known places like Orange with its Roman Theatre and its music festival, Vaison-La-Romaine, Arles and St. Remy-de-Provence with their Roman arenas, Avignon with its popes palace and its theatre festival, Lacoste and Aix-en-Provence with their music festivals are all less than 1 hour from Aubignan.
A total of 350m2 of living space on one unfenced hectare of land. Within its 2 halls, summer salon and library you will find the atmosphere of a 17th century Mas. The large living room that opens out to the outside dining area and beautifully tendered lawns, has a Pleyel grand piano to warm things up! There is a fully equipped authentic French kitchen with many pots of jam from the various fruit trees growing on the property!
It is such a delight to sit in the magical Mediterranean garden, enjoy the calm of a wonderful countryside and relax beside the swimming pool. You can take wonderful walks or bicycle rides (5 bicycles are available) directly from Aubignan Bleu
