A yellow flag at your villa's front entrance signifies to the staff that you are in residence; green means 'Please service immediately, champagne and nibbles are required', while red means 'Do not disturb'. The in-room a la carte dining menus at Villa Kubu include Indonesian and Western dishes. With the villa's commitment to health and wellness almost all of the produce is sourced from Bali's organic farms, ensuring meals are made with the freshest ingredients. Kubu Bites - tempting treats such as fried calamari with spicy aioli sauce and prawn tempura - are a favorite for snacking around the pool and are all freshly prepared, while salads are made with just picked produce. Custom barbecues with fresh seafood and meats make the perfect choice for festive lunches and dinners and all special dietary needs can be catered for - you only have to ask. Alternatively, we offer guests a half-board option: choose from either a 3-course lunch or dinner prepared by our professional chefs and served by our butlers in your dining room (or by your pool!). Menus include western, Asian and fusion cuisine as well as barbecues, and can be specifically tailored to your taste in consultation with our head chef prior to and during your stay.

The owner of Villa Kubu has spent years studying the tropical vegetation of the island and the villa's gardens reflect her love of Balinese botany. With a varied and beautiful assortment of tropical flowers and foliage, the gardens are as diverse as the villas themselves; some featuring lotus ponds, waterfalls and rock gardens complete with Balinese statuary. Pathways wind their way under canopies of palm trees, flanked by the colored foliage of plants that will tolerate the shade. Urns, statues and other garden ornaments add a decorative element to the spaces and there are bursts of color throughout the property courtesy of the bougainvillea and ginger flowers growing in abundance. Villa Kubu's gardens are an amalgamation of a variety of elements that are unique to the island, combining to create what is now simply referred to as Balinese style.
