Built within a designated World Heritage site, Casa Yakunah is a low impact house which draws almost all of its energy from its environment. Since there is no 'grid' in the reserve, solar, wind, and rain create the energy needed to provide guests modern conveniences while still being immersed in nature.

The heart of the house is a large comfortable living area with a grand palapa roof. Windows on all sides open to the ocean breezes and ever-shifting shades of green and blue. The living room has an inviting U shaped sofa adorned with colorful pillows making it the perfect place for lounging or socializing. There is a large screen projector for watching movies or Sky TV. Surround sound speakers allow you immerse yourself in music. WiFi is available throughout the property.

Casa Yakunah offers a large separate master bedroom casita, with king size bed, Sky TV, air conditioning, double showers and vanity, and handcrafted wooden bathtub. The master casita also has a private rooftop area with stunning views of the lagoon, perfect for sunbathing, birdwatching, and stargazing.

On the opposite side of the house from the master casita, separated by the living area are two lovely guest bedrooms. Each has a king size bed but can accommodate 2 double beds as well, a/c, ceiling fans and sky TV. The guest rooms share a uniquely designed bathroom, with a double vanity, tiled shower, and separate commode. The guest rooms open to a tranquil deck area with direct access to the rooftop pool.

The inside dining room faces the ocean and is connected to the kitchen and oceanfront deck. The large round dining table accommodates 6 to 8 people. A great spot to enjoy morning coffee, interact with the chef, or linger over conversation and meals.
